Just something to think about. John Force!! John clinched his 16th Fuel Funny Car championship yesterday at The Strip in Las Vegas. He had to race his daughter in the final round. Great race with John running a 4.06 to Courtney’s 4.08. By the way, John Force is 64 years young and still able to “Get ‘er Done”!! LOL
Just something to think about. I believe I have figured out how to pay off the national debt and have plenty of money to spare. Remember how the President talked about transparency in the government? Here is my solution. Reality TV!! Instead of showing everything on C-SPAN like he talked about and has not done, go with a live reality TV show. Have it on several times a day.
The White House, the Senate, the House of Representatives, different departments (Justice, Homeland Security, NSA, etc.) and maybe even a few (in their minds) elite government figures like Harry Reid, Nancy Pelosi, Mitch McConnell and John Boehner. Here is the deal. sponsors. Get banks like Wells Fargo, Bank of America, JPMorgan Chase and Citigroup to sponsor the shows. Throw in companies like GM, Google and IBM. Add some universities like Harvard and the University of California. Get some individuals to chip in some sponsorship dollars. Say George Soros, Bill Gates and Mark Zuckerberg. Oh, and lets not forget the unions. They could charge any amount for the ad time. Would not matter since it is advertising and they can write it off as a cost of doing business.
This would be reality TV at its best. No holds barred, real life drama, name calling, whining, insults flying. It would play out like a high stakes game of chance. There would even be the scandals, all kinds, people tweeting inappropriate picture, people walking back what they said (a euphemism for being caught in a lie), and people that are in charge blaming other for their failures. I mean we can have it all. Maybe show a bit of gun trading with known criminals, or a raid by armed law enforcement agents on an animal shelter to prevent them from taking care of a 35 pound baby deer. Anyway, you get the idea.
Now I know it is hard for the government to do anything right, but if they do this right, watch out. We are on our way to easy street. Now you have to understand that reality shows like “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” (have never seen it), “Honey Boo Boo” (have not see this either) and others will be in danger and probably go off the air. Not sure about Duck Dynasty, they might make it as a nice break from “The Government Goes Wild”.
Just something to think about. ACA (Obamacare). Three years and hundreds of thousands of dollar of our money and it does not work. How do you fix it, simple if you are the current government. First you promote one of the contractors responsible for the broken website to oversee the repairs, of course paying them more money to do so. This after the top players blamed each other and then the administration for the problems. Then you send out people like Human Services Secretary Kathleen Sebelius to do a dog and pony show and state it is the Republicans fault for the failed systems because of the shutdown. Now think about this and how dumb it is to say things like that . . . 3 years and hundreds of millions of dollars, plenty of time to test the site and then the government suffers a partial shutdown on the day the site goes live and it is that issue that caused the website not to work. Give me a break. That is just wrong. It was not developed correctly and was not test correctly. She and others really had no idea what was going to happen when it went live and we all seem to have found out at the same time . . . It broke. Our government is so much fun to watch because no one is ever responsible or accountable for anything that happens.
Just something to think about. Based on what the President said this must be how the Democratic party understands what he means by civility. People like this should be ashamed of themselves and removed from office posthaste. But of course over the past couple of weeks the President accused the GOP seven times of demanding a “ransom,” and of “extortion,” of threatening to “blow the whole thing up” and “burn d…own your house.” He called them “ideological extremists,” knocked the “Tea Party’s extremist agenda” and said they were prepared to “cause a recession. Why would I really expect anything different from the rest of his party. It is truly ashamed what has happened to the politics in this country.
Just something to think about. NSA Spying . . . I only hope that French President Francois Hollande does understand that he would have never received this call had it not been for the fact that Edward Snowden outed the NSA . . . but I mean come on, it was “only” 70.3 million French phone calls.
